Mission Statement

As a Boston based non profit corporation, Neighborhood Action Inc. is dedicated to meeting the immediate physical, medical and social needs of its homeless, aged and impoverished guests by providing food, clothing, medical attention, fellowship and emotional support. Further Neighborhood Action Inc. seeks to assist its guests in moving toward the long- term goal of taking charge of their lives.

Description

Located in the heart of downtown Boston and on the edges of the Beacon Hill area, Neighborhood Action Inc. has created and currently manages a variety of programs that only begin to meet the needs of our guests. Those programs include lunch time meals offered Sunday through Thursdays, a Thursday evening meal, A food pantry, a clothing closet and a Monday morning art and writing program.

In addition to these programs, Neighborhood Action Inc. is also a Jubilee Senior Action Center (JSAC). Each and every Tuesday a small group of senior citizens gather for lunch, laughter and occasional programs. Our JSAC group also plans group outings that might include museums, galleries or other points of interest.
